• Non abrasive process
  • No secondary waste stream
  • Faster, effective clean
  • Eco-friendly, sustainable media
  • Ideal for surface preparation pre-NDT of tubes

In HRSGs, clean fins are crucial to ensure maximum efficiency. Over time, contaminates such as sulphur and rust residue accumulate, reducing the transfer of heat. The corrosive nature of sulphur reduces the integrity of tubes, reducing process efficiency.

An environmentally friendly and sustainable solution for cleaning, Dry Ice Blasting restores lost performance in HRSGs. Dry Ice Blasting also can reduce the HRSG’s back pressure, which recovers lost MW capacity and improves performance.

Dry Ice Blasting is non-abrasive, and will not pit or damage the integrity of tubes or fins. It also increases the lifespan of the tubes, as the integrity of the metal is being maintained and not abraded.

With Dry Ice Blasting, there is no secondary waste stream produced. This means necessary downtime is greatly reduced, as, with only primary waste to be cleared, time needed for clean up is minimised. This also greatly reduces cost, as only the primary contaminant needs to be disposed of.

We at Polar IceTech have been successfully working with engineers in CCGT power plants since 2013.  We work with companies to ensure their maintenance downtime is minimised while providing superior results.
